PHILLY SNOW DAY

Well, our original plan for the weekend had us headed to Manhattan this morning with our friends visiting from Austin.  But the potentially record-breaking snowfall that began blanketing the mid-Atlantic early this morning put the kibosh on that.  We haven't let the snow stop us from having fun, though, spending the better part of the morning exploring Old City with our guests before retiring back at our place for an afternoon of Christmas movies and snacks.

We have some friends from Texas in town for the weekend, so we took them out sight-seeing last night . . . including a stop in Philly's famous Love Park.

This is the house you don't take the kids to see on your annual driving tour of Christmas lights. Poor Rudolph! Sadly, I could so imagine this happening in one of the towns that D & I grew up in . . . sigh!
